Solar Computer

I have been spending some time designing projects & prototypes

One of the prototypes is for a solar powered computer

I have run my Raspberry Pis (four of them) all from one small portable photovoltaic panel

I have designed two desktop computers

The first desktop computer is based on the current Mac Pro with a photovoltaic panel around the rim and the base whilst keeping the thermal core

The second desktop computer is of a more conventional design with a liquid cooling setup to power; naturally, there are far more photovoltaic cells required for this desktop

The Point

This is probably not going to make it into mainstream computer manufacturer, but it is an interesting way to look at powering computers in the field for live & recording shoots on location.

The Future

I will not be developing this close to system setup for photovoltaic panels, I prefer a remote system on the rooftop.
