Inexpensive & quick to deploy - the Intel NUC is an ideal SMB office prototype server.

Hak5 recently produced an episode in which Darren Kitchen & Shannon Morse built two (along with one prebuilt) Intel NUC barebone computers to run as a cluster for any use in their racks.

Darren & the Hak5 team decided to steer clear of larger, more powerful single enclosure rack-based servers this time around, despite opting for the above route previously.

Darren stated he was very interested to see how the little boxes with a mixture of Intel Core-i5 & Intel Core-i7 processors handle the strain of 16 virtual machines running on the Zenn virtual environment.
